Daniela has a story that emanates ambition, courage, and natural intelligence. A young woman who manages to establish herself in the Colombian coffee world deserves full encouragement.
Our translation: Daniela had the help of her father and uncle when she started, both farmers known for traditional Colombian coffee, but she quickly managed to become independent and build her own path by introducing specialty coffee to their farm. She found inspiration in the coffee world there and realised that a coffee business could be interesting. So she started getting involved in her father's farm, where she received some bags of coffee to sell. Noticing how well she was doing and the different quality she was obtaining with experimental processing, her father gave her 5% of the farm.
At 27, Daniela successfully manages 5 hectares of coffee, where she has planted several exotic varieties: Gesha, Java, Pacamara. She handles coffee as she sees fit and likes to take care of everything, up to delivering the bags to the mill in Bogota. Daniela only employs women at her farm, because she wants to contribute to the recognition of female power, a rare approach in Colombia. Razvan. 23.01.2022
